LAWRENCE VICTOR HARRISON [#202689], 59, of San Dimas was suspended for two years, stayed, placed on probation for three years with an actual 30-day suspension and was ordered to take the MPRE within one year and prove his rehabilitation. The order took effect Aug. 1, 2003.While representing the defendant in a criminal case, Harrison directed his secretary to prepare a declaration and authorized her to sign his name only after reading it to him. On a day when the secretary was out of the office, a different secretary prepared the declaration and filed it without reading it to Harrison. It contained three false statements. He also made false representations to the judge in the case.In mitigation, Harrison accepted responsibility for his misconduct before the bar filed charges, he has changed his office practices and at the time of the misconduct, he was a new lawyer overwhelmed with work.
The State Bar Court began posting public discipline documents online in 2005. The format and pagination of documents posted on this site may vary from the originals in the case file as a result of their translation from the original format into Word and PDF. Copies of additional related documents in a case are available upon request. On May 31, 2019, the State Bar Court launched online case dockets. If a case was open or filed on or after Feb 7, 2019, documents are being added online as events occur, and can be accessed with the new Search for a Case feature. Older case records are available on request.
