LARRY HOWARD KREUEGER [#46885], 59, of Sherman Oaks was disbarred Feb. 2, 2002, and ordered to comply with rule 955.In a default proceeding, the State Bar Court found that Kreueger failed to comply with a rule 955 requirement in a 2001 disciplinary order.Kreueger has three prior disciplines. In 1997, he was actually suspended for failing to keep his clients informed about developments in his case and for not cooperating with a bar investigation or keeping his address current. When he failed to comply with the terms of his probation, he was suspended for one year in 2001.In addition, Kreueger was publicly reproved in 1979 for practicing law while suspended for non-payment of bar dues.

LARRY H. KREUEGER [#46885], 58, of Sherman Oaks was suspended for two years, stayed, actually suspended for one year and until the State Bar Court grants a motion to terminate the actual suspension, and was ordered to take the MPRE and comply with rule 955. If the actual suspension exceeds two years, he must prove his rehabilitation. The order took effect Feb. 3, 2001.In a default proceeding, the State Bar Court found that Kreueger failed to comply with probation conditions attached to a 1998 probation by not filing four probation reports and not completing ethics school. The original discipline was imposed for a failure to communicate with a client, keep his address current with the bar and cooperate with a bar investigation.Kreueger also was publicly reproved in 1978.
January 29, 1998
LARRY HOWARD KREUEGAR [#46885], 55, of Sherman Oaks was suspended for one year, stayed, and placed on probation for one year on the condition he is actually suspended for 30 days, effective Jan. 29, 1998. He was ordered to pass the MPRE.Kreuegar was employed to file a lawsuit against a towing service for $8,000 in damages to his client's commercial truck in 1992. After June 1994, the client was unable to contact Kreuegar and he discovered a lawsuit had not been filed on his behalf. In 1994, Kreuegar was placed on inactive status for failure to comply with MCLE requirements. In August 1994, he was suspended for failure to pay his bar dues. He remained ineligible to practice at least through October 1996.Kreuegar failed to inform his clients that he was ineligible to practice law. Also, he did not keep the bar's membership department apprised of his current address and failed to cooperate with the bar's investigation.Considered as an aggravating circumstance was Kreuegar's prior record of discipline. A 1978 public reproval was given very limited weight in aggravation, but the harm incurred by his client in the current matter was considered significant. His failure to advise his client to obtain successor counsel resulted in the client's belief that he had representation for several years. In addition, his failure to communicate with his client resulted in a substantial delay in efforts to have the truck repaired and back in service. His failure to appropriately participate in disciplinary proceedings prior to default was given limited weight in aggravation. The bar court hearing department judge found that Kreuegar's misconduct was an isolated incident, but questioned his neglect in informing the bar of his whereabouts and lack of participation in disciplinary proceedings, "which raises concerns about his present ability or willingness to comply with his ethical obligations."
